Covalent Systems designs and implements AI and automation systems that help your team focus on growing the business.
Understanding your specific business processes comes first. Applying technology comes second, but only where it helps.
For more than 25 years, I led product management and marketing teams supporting highly technical products used in complex scientific and industrial applications. My background spans product management, operations, sales and service support, finance, and technical marketing within environments where uptime, reliability, and technical accuracy matter.
I worked closely with field service teams, engineers, manufacturing, and customers to solve operational problems tied to real equipment. That experience exposed a recurring issue across many technical organizations: critical operational knowledge is often fragmented across internal documents, tribal knowledge, and disconnected systems.
As AI tools became more accessible, I saw an opportunity to apply them differently. Instead of building generic automations or chasing hype-driven software apps, I'm building practical systems designed around key internal processes and quality systems.
I focus on operational intelligence that includes workflow optimization, probabilistic risk modeling, AI-assisted diagnostics, predictive models, and process automation. Anywhere a process can run smoother.
My approach combines operational domain expertise with modern AI and automation tools. The goal is to help organizations make better decisions and improve how knowledge flows across the business.
Today, that experience plays out across three audiences. For technical organizations, I deliver systems-level implementations. For small businesses figuring out where AI actually fits and where it doesn't, I build practical entry-point tools. For individuals and teams who want to understand AI without the hype, I teach. What's consistent: knowing where AI helps, and being honest about where it doesn't.
